Rodney spent years living and training in Rio, receiving every belt from blue to black at Nova Uniao HQ under André Pederneiras. The only Australian to achieve this.
Gold medallist at the Pan Pacific Championships in 2006 & 2008 at black belt — plus Australian representative at the 2010 Abu Dhabi Pro Gi.
Qualified for the 2009 ADCC World Championships in Barcelona — the most prestigious submission wrestling event on the planet — and competed professionally in MMA in Japan.
With morning, lunchtime and evening jiu-jitsu classes, if you want to train martial arts then we can accommodate your busy schedule.
At SCJJA we currently have three judo black belts teaching the art of throwing.
Rodney competed at the 2009 ADCC World Championships in Barcelona — the Olympics of submission wrestling — and has trained with Olympic wrestlers.

We understand that grappling can be daunting for females, and so we offer one time-slot each week exclusively for women.
Available to members are private Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) classes, taught by Rodney and Mat Wilken who both fought pro MMA.
